Positive psychology is an area of scientific research and psychological practice that serves to building a good, joyful and passionate life in health and in cordial relationships with others.
Positive psychology supports the discovery of important human life goals and the experience of success. These tasks are part of improving the quality of life of a person, his/her family, organization or community. Such an understanding of the mission of psychology in general and positive psychology in particular, becomes extremely relevant today, in times of volatility and uncertainty, but also growing opportunities, multiple alternatives and diverse patterns of behavior.
The conference, entitled Contemporary Challenges for Positive Psychology, will identify current directions for positive psychologists, researchers and practitioners, and identify difficulties and gaps in supporting quality of life. These challenges are especially timely in the face of new life circumstances. How to take care of health and multiply human prosperity in times of COVID19 pandemic, which deepened uncertainty and unpredictability.
It will also allow us to look back - to point out the empirical findings of positive psychology, what serves human development and what is just a myth, which therapies are effective and which have no scientific evidence. Currently, in times of social unrest and pandemic isolation, as well as weakening psychological condition of children, adolescents and adults, scientific verification of psychological interventions is particularly urgent.
The aim of the conference is to promote the idea of positive psychology, to share the latest research findings and techniques for supporting clients in psychological practice. The conference is intended to combine the science and practice of psychology, which will allow to learn about current theoretical achievements in positive theoretical developments in positive psychology and their use in building effective techniques of psychological help. psychological support techniques. We invite you to share your findings in this field, both academics as well as practitioners.

Ben Schellenberg, PhD
PhD and Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba, his research focuses on people's favourite activities. In particular, he is interested in understanding how people can engage in their favorite activities in ways that benefit them most while avoiding potential costs.
Professor Moïra Mikolajczak
Professor and Director of Research at the Catholic University of
Louvain, she teaches Introduction to Psychology, Medical Psychology and Health Psychology, among other courses.
